Yes too long since Daddy or Mummy talked to you on this blog... But we've been talking to you everyday and enjoying every single moment with you. Watching your teeth come out. Watching you climb up and down the living room platform. Watching you brush your teeth every morning. Watching you watch your DVDs every so attentively. Hearing you make funny little noises when seating in your car seat. Reading bedtime stories to you but ending up struggling to prevent you from tearing the books apart. Hearing you call "tutu" for your pacifier. Hearing you call "papa".
Hearing you call "papa". That's the thing I miss the most now. Daddy is away in Mumbai for 3 weeks. It's now the 6th of 18 days. 18 long days because Daddy misses you so much. I can imagine you walking around in the morning. Mummy told me that one morning she left you alone while she was checking her office email. You went to take your DVDs from the TV console and passed one or two DVDs to her. And then you went to explore some of Mummy's boxes containing some packing materials and you put one into your mouth to chew. Luckily Mummy managed to dig it out of your mouth in time. Naughty little you.
Daddy can imagine you waking up in the morning, lying on your back and making small noises. You'll flip around onto your stomach and see if Mummy or Daddy is awake. If we make any move at all, you'll stand right up and demand to be carried up or else you'll start crying. Daddy will take you up and put you on my arms and try to pat you to sleep for just a little while more. But you'll just lie there with eyes open, peering at heaven-knows-what. And after you finally get bored, you'll struggle to flip over and you'll spot your favourite alarm clock and immediately rush over to touch it. And Daddy will pull you back. And you'll be making noises. You'll wake Mummy up and Mummy will smile at you. You'll smile that cheeky smile of yours and take out your pacifier and make a loud noise as if saying good morning.
So now you're awake and there's no use trying to put you back to sleep anymore. Daddy will give your vitamin and you'll take it from Daddy's hands and happily put it into your mouth, sucking your fingers for just a little longer than you need to. Daddy will ask you to take off your socks and you'll try but you won't suceed. Once Daddy takes off your socks, Daddy will open the room door and you'll be screaming happily as you climb down the bed and follow Daddy out the door. You'll follow Daddy all the way to the sofa, getting up the platform with ease. And when Daddy plays your favourite DVD for you to watch, you'll smile happily as you sit down in your bumbo seat.
You're such a big boy now... In just two months, you'll be going to join the playgroup at Aces Montessori. You'll be 18months... Can't believe how big you are now. During your vaccination jab earlier this month, you took two needles on both your thighs and you cried for just a few seconds! The nurse distracted you with a toy and you stopped crying almost immediately. Such a big boy you are now....
