Decided to keep the title of my postings as simple as possible - saves me the headache of having to come up with anything interesting. Just putting the date seems like a good idea to me...

Haven't been blogging these past few weeks cos there's really not much to write about. I've been busy setting up my new office while Cheri has been busy studying for her exams. Late nights and early mornings - nothing else really exciting happening.

First off, we didn't win our plasma TV! oh well, too bad.

Then, we received a call from our JP-to-be, Mr Chan, that he would not be able to make it for our ROM. But we quickly managed to find another JP, Mrs Chia, to agree to solemnise our wedding instead.

Anyway, we went to see Darren yesterday. He showed us the black-and-white perspective drawings. They looked so good that now we can't wait for it to be completed! Next appointment, he'll show us the drawings in colour... damm, that'll just make them look all the more impressive...

As we had to decide on our fridge and washing machine soon, we went down to Best Denki after our meeting. Cheri had originally wanted a Mitsubishi fridge but after browsing around other brands, we set our hearts on a Hitachi fridge instead. Looks just as good, with just as many functions but way cheaper than the Mitsubishi fridge.

As for the washer, we pretty much decided long ago to get a Brandt washer, so it was just a simple task of deciding what load and what RPM we required. We settled for a 7KG 800RPM model. Hope it lasts us for years and years and years and years, just like the energiser bunny...

We also hunted around for a TV. At first, we wanted to settle for a Samsung model as it looked really good - I mean the design looked really good, not the picture. Fortunately, a salesman was persistent enough to ask us if we needed help. Cheri asked him some questions and before we knew it, he had volunteered many valuable insights. Turns out the Korean models really need a wee bit of catching up to beat the Japanese models - my research online later also confirmed this. We decided to settle for either a JVC or Sharp 37" model. Gotta go down to Best or Harvey Norman again to compare the different models before deciding.

Went down to Citygas this afternoon during my lunchtime. Saw the Gas Dryer and Gas Water Heater by Rinnai. The sales guy was really a gas evangelist but then again, he was preaching to the choir. We were just glad that the Dryer looked good enough to blend in with our washer. No more hanging and ironing of clothes for me :p
