2006. Quite a brilliant and eventful year I must say. A new job role at the beginning of the year. New job in the middle of the year. New flat at the end of the year. Lotsa friends getting married in between. This year will certainly be one to remember.
We just went for a gown fitting on Tuesday. Cheri picked out her wedding gown, two evening gowns and her ROM dress as well. Wasn't quite that easy as all the gowns she tried on were nice. In the end, it was a matter of choosing between good, better and great. hmm, that's a nice dilemma to face.
We've also finally placed a deposit for our electrical items from DAV today. We've got our Hitachi 6-door fridge, Brandt 7kg washer, Brandt induction domino hob, Brandt wok burner domino hob, Brandt double burner domin hob, Brandt cooker hood and a Brandt oven. We've already got our JVC LCD TV and Rinnai dryer. That pretty much settles all our major electrical purchases.
We've spent the last week shopping around for stuff for our home. Bedsheets, bed quilts, crockery, sofa bed, fans... Setting up a new home is an expensive journey but it's certainly a fun one.
2007. I've never been one to look forward to new years. In the past, a new year pretty much looked the same as the past one to me. But 2007... It's probably the first time I'm looking forward to a new year.
2007. We're going to move in to our new home. Cheri's going to graduate. We're going to get married. Can't wait for it to get started! :) |
